It is Hyderabad’s biggest and most iconic mall which is a home to myriads of brands and food outlets and an attraction to thousands of visitors every day. The mall is associated with reputed Future Group and stands high-rooted with several other members.
An interview with its General Manager, Mr. Davis Vadakkan revealed to us some flabbergasting facts, about this very famous Mall which he agreed to share with our readers.
About Mr. Davis Vadakkan
An M.B.A. post-graduate, Mr. Vadakkan did his graduation in hospitality. With 5 years of experience working in Oberoi Hotel and 11.5 years of experience of working in reputed brands and companies like Mahindra, Mr Davis is presently the head GM of Hyderabad Central Mall.
Occupying an area of around 250,000 sq. feet, the mall stands high and is credited of being India’s Biggest Retail Store. Launched in 2004, this mall is located on Punjagutta Road, opposite to Police Station. The mall operates from morning 11:00 am to 10:30 pm in the night.
The mall has unique dissection of floors each dedicated to specific purposes which makes it easy for visitors to navigate across the mall and have a fun-fulfilling and purposeful visit. Bottom two floors are dedicated to parking which is spacious enough to accommodate at least 400 four wheelers and two-wheelers each. The top fifth-floor is dedicated to cinemas with 5 screen which casts Bollywood, Hollywood as well as regional films. It also constitutes several food outlets and reputed restaurants for delicious food operating throughout the floors.
But the biggest acknowledgment of mall is of it being the biggest Retail store of the country. Most of the floors are dedicated for shopping, offering bazillions of varieties to their visitors ranging from clothing for men, women & kids to cosmetics, from furniture to utensils for kitchen, from books for avid readers to being a home of the most entertaining gaming zone for kids and adults. This mall is a house of entertainment as well a supermarket providing innumerable essential products to consumers from countess brands around the world. Its motto “Shop Eat Celebrate” gets evidently visibly justified as soon as a visitor enters its threshold.
Hyderabad Central Mall is vibrant shopping destination housing 500 plus brands including Marks and Spencer, Tommy Hilfiger, Lilliput, Titan, Levi’s, Fastrack, Giovani, Woodland, Lee Cooper etc,. The compilation of such humongous varieties under one roof is what makes this mall so appealing for a visit. What is more intriguing is the segregation in floors and areas into which each area is devoted for specific needs of the visitors. The division is in terms of Ethnic Wear, cosmetics, Party Wear etc,. The second floor is exclusively dedicated to Men’s Collection.
Talking about Competition, Mr Davis very modestly revealed to us that the select few brands like Zara, lifestyle, Shoppers Stop etc, which are not housed in the mall are the competition for the mall. He also mentioned to us that he did not consider online shopping brands like myntra, amazon etc, as a competition for the mall.
The mall is a home to trending fashion style and statements and hence it originally tries to target the age group between 18-35 years. But at the same time, it expects family for an exuberant, memorable quality time it offers. On an estimate the mall averages around 2,00,000 walk-ins every week.
How does Hyderabad Central Mall a tourist attraction?
Hyderabad as a city attracts tourists all around the world with its charming heritage sites like Charminar, Golconda Fort etc,. Its enticing Nehru Zoological Park and the famous amusement park named Snow World fascinates people from various walks-of-life. But even in this midst, Hyderabad Central mall is distinguished and stands iconic, being number one in terms of sales with it being a hub of varieties, entertainment and celebrations attracting most number of visitors and tourist amid several malls in Hyderabad.
